My base rate is a competitive $35 (GST inclusive) per hour.
I offer a student discount of $25 (GST inclusive) per hour for thesis, dissertation and research proposal copy editing and proofreading. (Please check your tertiary institute’s policy on third party editing.)
In order to provide you with an accurate quote, I like to see a sample of the piece (10-20 pages, if it is a significant document) to estimate how long it will take to edit. On average I proofread/edit approximately 3,000 words per hour. I aim to return the sample piece to you with my suggestions as an example of my work, along with a quote, within a few days.
Depending on the content and size of your document, you may prefer to be charged by the hour, page or job. Please contact me to discuss your preferences.
